Debra Stone

Debra has been drawn to the craft of storytelling since childhood, finding her voice long before she knew how powerful it would become. Her debut novel, The Cry of the Tiger, is inspired by true events from her own life- a fictionalized but deeply personal account of resilience, self-discovery, and the relentless fight for justice.

Based on a real battle for her home and for her rights, this novel explores the challenges faced by women navigating a broken system, where persistence, courage and intuition become their greatest weapons.

Passionate about stories of female empowerment and the hidden injustices in the legal system and tenants’ rights, Debra brings raw emotion and lived experience to the page. She believes in the power of perseverance and the importance of finding one’s own voice- both in fiction and real life.

She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to write, advocate for change and champion others to fight for themselves and empower others to do the same.
